The Hershey Bears wrap up their 75th season at Hershey’s Giant Center, and the Harrisburg Senators host opening night of the 2013 baseball season at Metro Bank Park on City Island – it’s spring and summer in Central PA and Pennsylvania’s Dutch Country Roads regions. Music fans enjoy the Central Pennsylvania Symphony and their 2013 Gala late April, at Harrisburg’s Zembo Shrine Center. For a unique sports experience check out April’s Derby Ink Invitational in Harrisburg – a three day event featuring banked-track roller derby, tattoo artists and entertainment. Enjoy early summer at the Music & Wine Festival at historic Fort Hunter Park.

Take a challenge from the Central Pennsylvania Conservancy and the Susquehanna Appalachian Trial Club and join the 4th Annual Ironmaster’s Challenge. Held at Pine Grove Furnace State Park on April 28th amidst Pennsylvania’s Michaux State Forest, the 2013 Ironmaster events feature the 50k Ultra, 20-mile, and 15k courses. The 2013 events feature spectacular scenery along with rock scrambles, single-track trails and hillside ascents. Pine Grove Furnace State Park is located southeast of Shippensburg midway to Gettysburg.
