The City of Brotherly Love not only has delicious cheesesteak sandwiches, but also the largest airport in state of Pennsylvania. The Philadelphia International Airport was established as the Philadelphia Municipal Airport in 1927, during its dedication by Charles Lindbergh. By 1945, American Overseas Airlines began to offer direct international flights to Europe.

US Airways' primary hub for international flights is located at the airport, in addition to its third largest hub for domestic flights. The airport's seven passenger terminals containing 130 gates, provide service to a variety of commercial flights to major cities in the United States, Europe, Mexico, the Middle East, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean.
