The night sky is illuminated on May 23rd as Pyro Fest 2015 celebrates the art of Pyrotechnics. Celebrate Memorial Day weekend at Hartwood Acres with an afternoon of live music along with plenty of food and fun activities – not to mention some of the world's top pyrotechnic displays.
The 2015 Three Rivers Arts Festival, is June 5th through 14th. Now celebrating its 56th year, Three Rivers takes place in downtown Pittsburgh at locations including Point State Park, Gateway Center, and Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s Cultural District.
Punxsutawney, 20 miles south of Du Bois, is home to the world’s most famous groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil. Located in the Allegheny National Forest Region of Pennsylvania, surrounding communities celebrate the 49th Anniversary Groundhog Festival June 28th through July 4th. The 2015 events feature food vendors, arts andcrafts, and live entertainment and music.
The community of St. Marys celebrates summer at the 2015 Elk County Fair, six miles south of town in Kersey, August 5th through 9th. St. Marys is also convenient to Emporium, 20 miles east, and the Cameron County Fairgrounds. The 2015 Cameron County Fair is August 3rd through 9th.
Travel south near Bentleyville for the 29th Annual Charleroi Federal Little Great Race, and a late season challenge. Charleroi, eight miles east of Bentleyville, hosts the 2015 race September 12th. The 5K race starts and finishes at 1 Chamber Plaza in the center of Charleroi.
Celebrate the end of summer in St. Marys at the 2015 Bavarian Fall Fest. With the chill of fall in the air, enjoy music, arts and crafts, and local products. Held in late September, enjoy the last days of summer at St. Marys Bavarian Fall Fest. This is also a great time to visit the famous elk herds of Elk County and Cameron County; Benezette is a great starting point for elk sightings.
