There’ll be a wide range of excellent attractions to check out this fall in and around Pittsburgh. Heinz Field is home to the Pittsburgh Steelers – their first home game is September 18th against the Bengals. Head to PNC Park to catch the Pittsburg Pirates wrap up their home schedule when the Chicago Cubs visit for the first of a four-game series on September 26th.
On every Saturday and Sunday from August 20th to September 25th, the borough of West Newton will host the annual Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival. Held at the park by the same name at 112 Renaissance Lane, this “olde tyme fair” will treat all members of the family to fun-filled days with live music, dancing, food, games, and more. The drive in from nearby Bentleyville is a breeze along Interstate 70.
You’ll find an impressive line-up of live concerts this fall in Pittsburgh. On September 8th, make your way to the Stage AE event venue to see Young the Giant live at 7 p.m., with a special performance from Ra Ra Riot.
On September 11th, Meghan Trainor, Hailee Steinfeld & Common Kings will perform in one show at the Petersen Events Center starting at 7 p.m. And you’ll want to make sure you’re in Pittsburgh this October to see Dinosaur Jr. live on stage – they’ll perform live at Mr. Small’s Funhouse & Theatre on the 9th at 8 p.m.
Western PA is a diverse landscape, and while Pittsburgh certainly is a highlight, the city of Indiana features its own blend of small town charms and big city fun. Head to Indiana, PA on September 9th for their 4th Annual Northern Appalachian Folk Festival. This event will take place throughout downtown Indiana, and will feature musical performances, arts & crafts, vendors, food, and much more.
